A simulation-based scheduling system for a textile plant

Abstract: This paper reports a research and development of a simulation-based scheduling system for a textile plant located in Izmir, Turkey.The system consists of four modules: User Interface Module; Order Processing Module; Simulation-Based Scheduler; Report Module. The system is implemented using the software environments, ARENA, ACCESS and Microsoft Visual Basic and planned to be used as a decision support tool at the operational level.
