High-power electron beam welding in engineering applications
by C. S. Punshon
International Journal of Materials and Product Technology (IJMPT), Vol. 11, No. 3/4, 1996

Abstract: New developments in high-power electron beam (EB) equipment technology are discussed. These include recent advances in high-power reduced pressure and non-vacuum electron beam systems which have the potential to greatly extend the application of EB welding into a wider range of heavy engineering applications. Examples of applications in structural steels, nickel alloys, copper and aluminium alloys are described.
