Abstract: In this paper, the efficiency of institutional support for energy and environmental economy problems in Central and Eastern European countries (on different levels) is discussed. The results of the research provided by the International Centre on Energy and Environmental Policy (ICEEP) in 2001-2002 are considered. These results permit recommendations for managers interested in efficient institutional support.
