Modelling study of liquid crystals orientation in the presence of corrosion potential
by Photis Kossivas, Andreas Kyprianou
International Journal of Nanomanufacturing (IJNM), Vol. 6, No. 1/2/3/4, 2010

Abstract: The anchoring and orientation of liquid crystal (LC) molecules are influenced by several parameters. This paper presents theoretical work that aims to explain how surface changes and potential due to corrosion, affect the LC orientation and anchoring. This work is done with a view of enabling the design and development of a LC based corrosion sensor.
