Abstract: The main objective of this research is to study the factors that influence the work motivation of shift personnel. For this purpose, a primary survey has been conducted to explore whether salary, bonus and remuneration package of the company; perceived career progression within the organisation; job enrichment and training opportunity as well as good working relationships among superiors, peers and subordinates have an impact on the motivation of shift staff. This research is important to most manufacturing companies as its outcome may enable these companies to develop insights into how to recruit and retain the best shift workers.
