Abstract: In recent years, the research community has explored the means to enhance supply chain responsiveness to achieve agility in organisations. However, there is little evidence of applying it practically in organisations. To overcome this deficiency, during the research work reported in this paper, a model called Agile Supply Chain Responsiveness Analysis (ASCRA) was designed. This model is incorporated with the five criteria of supply chain responsiveness reported by researchers. This model was applied in an electronic switches manufacturing company. The results of applying the ASCRA model have been subjected to cost analyses. Finally, the feedback of the personnel working in the company were gathered. The favourable reactions of these personnel hint that the ASCRA model could be successfully deployed in organisations to acquire core competencies.
