China's technology foresight: aiming to 2006-2020

Abstract: China conducted a Delphi survey in six fields of information, biotechnology, new material, energy, environment and resources, and advanced manufacturing to help the constitution and the conduction of its national medium and long-term science and technological development plan. In the second round investigation, about 1000 selected experts from different domains sent feedback of their opinions on 483 technological topics. Indices were calculated to analyse the results of the investigation. Some aspects of China's R&D level are analysed including the gap of R&D level between China and leading countries, the relationship between the gap of R&D level and important index, way for China's R&D.
