Abstract: This paper evaluates the second offering of an online course entitled Local e-governance in the Caribbean, which is aimed at equipping public sector and related professionals with the knowledge and skills for functioning in the emerging e-governance environment. The findings show that students performed satisfactorily, and appear to have gained from exposure to the new perspectives on governance. At the same time, the findings also point to the need for building strategies into course delivery to facilitate learner development of the higher order learning skills required not only for the study of the course but for continuing professional practice.
