Science centre on a screen

Abstract: The educational strategies of the Exploratorium, a hands-on science centre in San Francisco, in promoting the public understanding of science are discussed. Use of the Web and other technologies in ways that embed the Exploratorium's traditional educational philosophy - promoting science learning through personal and first-hand interactions with inquiries into natural phenomena - are also explored.
