Venture growth – new findings from a multilevel perspective – Guest Editors' introduction to the focus issue on growth
by Rainer Harms, Joanne L. Scillitoe
International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing (IJEV), Vol. 1, No. 3, 2010

Abstract: New venture growth is an important research topic. Past research suggests that growing young ventures play a critical role in local, regional and national economies through the creation of jobs, the generation of profits and the development of innovations. Questions regarding how ventures grow, including internal and external forces, and where is growth occurring, such as international versus domestic markets, have received much less attention, limiting our true understanding of this phenomenon. This introduction addresses these questions, outlining the themes of papers in the special issue on growth.
