Abstract: With the prevalence of mobile network such as GPRS and CDMA, MPLS VPN has taken part in the mobile range in order to meet the mobile users. GPRS can carry out abundant mobile data-operation applications including mobile office, chatting on the internet, the downloading image and music, exchanging game and located service, especially mobile e-commerce (MEC). So the bandwidths are the important issues. In view of bandwidth and CPU burden, multicast becomes an optimal choice. Multicast is vital to media-flow. Thinking that multicast and MPLS are two complementary technologies and merging these two technologies. In this paper, we study MEC under MPLS and multicast construction in backbone network. Additionally, we put forward a new approach to merging multicast and MPLS will enhance performance and present an efficient solution for multicast scalability and control overhead problems. This paper is based on MPLS multicast technology to optimise network structure and improve MEC efficiency.
