Abstract: In this study a simplified accumulative drift model is developed to describe the operation of inertial platform under high frequency linear vibration. By featuring the accumulative, rather than instant effect of vibration on the drift of the inertial platform, the new model entails less burden of computation in simulating the drift of the platform. And the new model eliminates the requirements on simulation program to track the fluctuation profile of applied vibration when it comes to parameter estimation. Simulation results show that, under linear vibration, the new model can serve as a satisfactory alternative to the traditional one.
