Indian experience of CEE: developing a model for developing countries

Abstract: India's 300 colleges and 500 polytechnics provide an infrastructure and resource for the education of engineers and technical personnel which is currently under-utilised. The authors have made a study of how the resources available could be used to provide continuing education for working professionals. They propose four models for different industrial sectors and conditions, derived from experience in India, but capable of application or extension to other developing countries.
