Abstract: The Eco-Schools Project, run by the Foundation For Environmental Education in Europe, provides a framework for promoting environment awareness in schools through a structured program. In order to qualify for an Eco-School Award the school must build each of the elements of its program into its daily life. A key feature of Eco-Schools is the involvement of all members of the school community in assessing the impact that the school has on the environment.
