Abstract: This paper discusses the power transfer from the stator part to the rotor part of an induction motor and then summarises the maximum transfer property as a result. On the other hand, this paper also designs a speed controller which is developed under a special non-linear coordinate transform with maximum power transfer property such that the speed control objective can be fulfiled. Besides, this proposed speed controller also shows its benefit on the power saving in comparison with other's speed controller of the similar control scheme. The proposed control scheme comes along with a thorough proof derived based on Lyapunov stability theory. Some experimental results are also given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme with maximum power transfer property.
