A hierarchical approach for validating simulation models

International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology (IJCAT), Vol. 15, No. 1/2/3, 2002

Abstract: The most common procedures used for validating simulation models are briefly reviewed. The validation procedures are organised into a hierarchical framework that introduces a structured approach to the validation process. Application of the validation procedures according to the hierarchical framework results in a systematic approach to simulation model validation. A systematic approach increases the efficiency of the validation process by reducing the time and resources spent on it.
