Abstract: The issues of equal treatment are included in the agenda of European Union works as well as in the agenda of all International Organisations. Owing to the fact that they constitute part of the fundamental human rights and principles, the level of development and prosperity of a country is judged. The European Union has forbidden the unfair treatment derived from gender, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, or sexual orientation. The present paper aims at exploring the principle of equal treatment, the impact of the EU Directives and is exploring the existing problems related to it.
