International Journal of Nanomanufacturing (IJNM), Vol. 4, No. 1/2/3/4, 2009

Abstract: The review reports shortly on our recent applied research results in the field of environmental photochemistry and solarchemistry as well as chemical solar cells. The paper will focus on the production of nanostructured TiO2 and lanthanide doped TiO2 nanomaterials for different applications in the fields of clean energy (sunlight conversion by DSSC) and water treatment (photocatalytic degradation of water contaminants). Collaborative international projects of the Nano-Photochemistry and Solarchemistry Group at Ain Shams University result in interesting outcomes that could be profitable exploited.
