Abstract: This paper introduces a study on the recycling and recharging of GMA abrasive – the world's most popular abrasive for blasting cleaning and AWJ machining. In the study, the reusability of the abrasive after the first cut and after the second cut was investigated. Also, the reusability of the recharged abrasives was carried out. In addition, the cutting performance and the cutting quality of the recycled abrasive as well as of the recharged abrasive were studied. Moreover, the optimal particle size for the recycling and the recharging were pointed out.
