Abstract: The study introduced a set of indicators of organisation and suborganisation readiness for TQM adoption. The measurement of these indicators has acceptable levels of reliability. The study results indicate that organisations and suborganisations differ along the TQM readiness indicators and that there is no specific consistent pattern for the differences. These results suggest that each organisation or suborganisation has a unique path to be followed for TQM adoption. The other implications of the results and suggestions for future research were discussed.
