Better healthcare at reduced cost through electronic integration of patient care data

Abstract: This paper discusses about automation of business processes in healthcare system. Increasing population puts tremendous pressure on the hospital management to improve their efficiency while maintaining quality of services to patients. Automation of healthcare services has been used as a strategy to meet objectives of providing quality of services as well for providing information across all the departments in a seamless manner. The methodology adopted was primary data collection through interviews with staff, doctors and administration department of a hospital. It is observed that automation enhances efficiency in patient handling and also provide satisfactory solutions to the patients.
