Linking strategic planning narratives to process-centric business models
by Rainer A. Sommer
International Journal of Management and Enterprise Development (IJMED), Vol. 7, No. 3, 2009

Abstract: Strategic planning and business process reengineering methods have never achieved a high level of alignment. Hence, the strategic planning effort has been sidelined as strictly a high-level management effort whose outcome rarely drives the business process implementation phase of a project. This research paper presents the foundations of a methodology that allows for the formal alignment of narrative strategic planning information with logical process modelling methods and policy oversight. It is expected that the methodology will provide greater insight and control throughout the organisational planning cycle.
