Franchising under the EC competition rules

Abstract: In this paper, presented to the 'Licensing in Europe' Conference, 23-24 June 1988, London, the author examines the draft EC Block Exemption Regulation for Franchising Agreements. While regarding the latest revised draft as an improvement on the previous draft in some respects, the author offers specific criticism on its scope, applicability, and clarity of interpretation.
