Interfaces: the business school, industry and government

Abstract: Business schools emerged from the shadow of Science and Technology in analyses of the components of the university-industry interface relatively recently. Knowledge-based industries will strain traditional management capability, in the absence of properly backed programs to up grade competitiveness. Investment in advanced training, research, and ideas from business schools become a key component in strategies for survival. The applied research agenda at Trinity College, Dublin, links government agencies and industry into the appropriate knowledge base for policy, for strategic decisions, and for management training.
