The future of satellites and electronic media in Europe

Abstract: This paper looks ahead to the future of satellites and electronic media in Europe. What has so far been achieved in the field of satellite communications, and the particular applications for which satellites are suitable, provide an indication of their probable development in the years to come. Satellites are inextricably linked into HDTB technology and ISDN networking. Satellites will play a seminal role in the implementation of ISDN in the short, medium and long term.
