A strategic technology management model under different technology acquisition modes between developing countries: the case of telecommunications in Korea and China

Abstract: This paper highlights the main features of technology cooperation between developing countries with different types of technology acquisition in an analytical nexus. A paradigm is formulated to show the mutual benefits, the scope and the mechanisms for such cooperation, using the example of telecommunications in Korea and China. Based on the case studies, strategic recommendations are posited to enforce the technology cooperation and optimize the mutual benefits.
