International Journal of Technology Management (IJTM), Vol. 12, No. 3, 1996

Abstract: This paper introduces a new approach to the auditing of technology management systems. The approach is based on a process model of technology management covering identification, selection, acquisition, exploitation and protection of both product and process technologies. An application of the audit to three business units within a high-technology company is used to demonstrate the feasibility and utility of the approach.
