Abstract: The aim of this article is to provide a systematic method to design a diplex multi-medium coupling isolator for precision equipment on moving vehicles. A mathematical model of a diplex multi-medium coupling isolator was built for the demand of attenuating vibration based on actual applying. It includes the coupling of quadratic damping, viscosity damping, Coulomb damping and nonlinear spring. By combining linear transform, Laplace transform method, the approximate theoretical calculating formulae about mean square value of acceleration, velocity and displacement were deduced. The parameters selection of the isolator was discussed and an optimal design model for selection of parameters was developed. So the study builds a basis for engineering design of the diplex multi-medium coupling isolator.
