Recommendations on radiation protection

Abstract: The health effects of acute and chronic exposure to radiation are discussed, with reference to the incidents in Chernobyl, Ukraine and in Taiwan. Conclusions are drawn related to the overall comprehension of these health effects and the basis for radiation protection.
