Abstract: This study aims to investigate the factors to be considered for m-commerce development and its future direction, in order to support the entrepreneurs to evaluate the business opportunity in m-commerce. This study proposes a framework of m-commerce. Three categories of characteristics that contribute to the success of m-commerce are identified. They are: user perception, product domain, and m-commerce environment respectively. A survey has been carried out to obtain opinions from the customer and from business for the development of m-commerce. Finally, suggestions as to the direction of its development are given.
