Abstract: Secure communications are an important prerequisite of e-commerce transactions and are required for confidential electronic communications. This paper presents a new model for secure implementation of e-commerce systems using multi-agent technology, so that the e-commerce application benefits from the characteristics of multi-agent systems. This model has a higher speed because of the simultaneous cooperation of agents and a higher level of security because it implements a security shell for each agent. Some models for cryptography in e-commerce using multi agent systems are also presented and an analysis of their performance is discussed. These models illustrate the implementation of agents for the RSA (named after its makers), Data Encryption Standard (DES), Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and International Data Encryption Algorithm (IDEA) cryptography algorithms.
