Opportunities for research in Reverse Logistics networks: a literature review

Abstract: Studies in Reverse Logistics (RL) have expanded since the first studies in 1950s. The author identifies 45 papers dealing with issues of RL networks providing either environmental or operational view. The papers were examined by the use of topics, methodologies and findings. Few papers concentrated on case studies. They highlight the complexity and uncertainty of the network. In addition, possible directions for future research are presented.
