Abstract: The paper presents several aspects on the development of renewable energy in Western China. The main developments of renewable energy in Western China include water power stations, wind energy, solar photovoltaic cell and methane utilisation. Some issues on the development of renewable energy are discussed and some suggestions are made. The conclusions were drawn in the end.
