Abstract: The paper presented deals with the investigation of the mechanical behaviour of sands grouted with a micro-fine cement grout. Contrary to most existing works on cemented or grouted sands, which rely on a macroscopic framework to identify the behaviour of such composite granular media from macroscopic triaxial tests, a multiscale modelling approach is retained in the present work based on the homogenisation method of periodic media. The first part of the work is dedicated to the study of the effect of the elastic characteristics of the constituents and of the grout saturation within the void space on the elastic behaviour of the grouted sand. The second part addresses the non-linear behaviour of the equivalent material by taking into account the damage behaviour of the grout.
