KIBS, perceptions and innovation patterns

International Journal of Services Technology and Management (IJSTM), Vol. 10, No. 2/3/4, 2008

Abstract: This research note aims at analysing how different types of firms and their representatives in different regions view their respective environments. The analysis relies on three 'perception variables', two of them related to specific aspects of the regional conditions with respect to firms' innovation activities: research and technology, and the workforce. The third perception variable, i.e., the regional innovation climate, is more general and summarises the overall frame of the innovation conditions in the region.
