by Jayanthi Ranjan
International Journal of Management in Education (IJMIE), Vol. 2, No. 4, 2008

Abstract: Management education in India is in the phase of change. The two current developments that are sweeping in India, namely liberalisation and globalisation, have had a considerable impact on Indian management education. The sudden proliferation of management institutions has lead to a considerable decline in the quality of education that is being offered. In order to install quality in the management education in India, business schools (B-schools) should focus on quality assurance, qualified and competent faculty members, proper infrastructure and the accountability of management institutes.
