Intelligently reconfigurable manufacturing control system based on knowledge function block

Abstract: To increase the intelligent reconfiguration capability of manufacturing control system, a novel concept of knowledge function block is proposed and an integrated framework for Intelligently Reconfigurable Manufacturing Control System (IRMCS) based on knowledge function block is constructed. After the concurrent execution process of intelligently reconfiguring and controlling being narrated, service-oriented control software architecture based on Web Services is presented. Besides, the system is designed by means of Unified Modelling Language (UML). In particular, a prototype system verifies the validity of knowledge function block standard, Web Services middleware and service-oriented philosophy in the design of IRMCS.
