XML and electronic business

Abstract: In this article, the revolutionary features of this next-generation markup language are examined through the comparison of XML and HTML. Following the discussion of the contributions and downsides of XML, the authors explore the effects of XML on electronic business, specifically focusing on the relationship of XML with web browsers, enterprise integrated system applications, internet and mobile communications, electronic transactions and internet security. This article is concluded with the trend of XML in electronic business.
