Abstract: This study numerically simulated and experimentally studies three-dimensional flows over porous spheres and cylinders with/without blowing. The parameters are incoming flow velocity Re, blowing ejection velocity and geometry of burner. The simulation of cold flow comprises two parts. The first elucidates the flow behaviours around and behind the burners without air blowing. The second part of the simulation elucidates the blowing effect from burners on the flow behaviours. The flow patterns for each burner with a fixed air ejection velocity (Vw) are described in detail and compared with corresponding experimental measurements.
