On the application of wavelets in supply chain data management
by R.S. Srinivasan
International Journal of Management and Decision Making (IJMDM), Vol. 9, No. 6, 2008

Abstract: Modern supply chains span multiple markets, suppliers and customers. Hierarchical decision making in such supply chains uses models and data with varying granularity for different levels. These models require formal methods of high-fidelity data management. This paper introduces wavelets as a mathematical lens to extract data at different scales. Its development will enrich data selection techniques in modern information-overloaded, volatile supply chains.
