Abstract: This paper deals with a fuzzy decision system dedicated to degraded mode control. The defect refers to a mechanical sensor, in our case the speed sensor failure. If a defect appears at the speed sensor level, the proposed approach allows an automatic reconfiguration system. Using fuzzy logic technique, two types of control are used to illustrate the transition from one control to another. Field-oriented control and direct torque control are investigated. Simulation tests have been carried out on a 4-kW induction motor drive to evaluate the performance of the fuzzy decision system.
