Abstract: This paper presents a non-dimensional analytical solution to the vibration displacement response of an elastic homogeneous isotropic beam with different appendages attached at different points. The beam is subjected to a load system moving with a uniform velocity. The decomposition method is utilised to obtain an analytical closed-form expression for the vibration displacement response of the beam. The effect of different types of appendages attached to the beam at different points, the inertia effect, and the velocity effect of the load moving system on the response of the beam are all discussed in detail.
