Abstract: Routing problem in MANETs has become challenging because of the advances in mobile wireless technologies and infrastructures. Mobile Agent's (MA) technologies are ideal for such environments, it offers a promising solution of routing problems, where it can reduce network traffic and maintain load balancing, and thereby increasing routing performance. In this paper, we have proposed an agent-based Routing Protocol for MANET (ARPM) that is a multi-agent-based protocol, which makes nodes in the network topology-aware. ARPM has been implemented and tested using QualNet simulator.
