International Journal of Nuclear Knowledge Management (IJNKM), Vol. 3, No. 1, 2008

Abstract: A new project focused on nuclear knowledge preservation is ongoing in the European Commission (EC)-Joint Research Centre Institute of Energy with an intention to collect all available information about the Reactor Pressure Vessels (RPV) of WWER-type reactors, as well as to analyse and summarise the most important items and issues. This activity is in line with the European Community FP6 projects PERFECT (prediction of irradiation damage effects on reactor components) and mainly COVERS coordinated action on WWER safety, in which all the WWER-operating countries also take part. The electronic database was created and is accessible for young or experienced researchers in this area. The access is recommended via Online Data and Information Network (ODIN) https://odin.jrc.nl/doma. After registration, access to the open sections of DoMa-db is given and for access to confidential information special access rights must be requested as indicated. The database of references for knowledge management and preservation on WWER RPVs is now operational.
