International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (IJEIM), Vol. 8, No. 1, 2008

Abstract: Through the late 20th century, an increasing number of science parks have been established to promote science and technology and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship for more economic returns. While science park managers are making efforts for such a mission, it is difficult to imagine that a science park itself can achieve it within a short period of time; neither is it practical to request a park management team to do so without support from their society. Through interviewing management executives of four parks in the Asia Pacific, the current study identifies those segments of an economy where a park can support, cooperate and get assistance. This should widen the managerial vision of a science park, and demonstrate a dynamic method of science park management.
