International Journal of Computational Science and Engineering (IJCSE), Vol. 3, No. 4, 2007

Abstract: In the present paper, a simple 2D air pollution transport model is investigated applying the sequential and the Strang–Marchuk operator splitting procedures. A comparison is done between the cases when the upwind scheme and the semi-Lagrangian scheme are used for solving the advection sub-problem.
