A systematic procedure for analysing network systems
by E. Zio, G. Sansavini
International Journal of Critical Infrastructures (IJCIS), Vol. 4, No. 1/2, 2008

Abstract: A procedure for the analysis of the performance of a complex network system is proposed, based on recently introduced measures of topological interconnection and reliability efficiency. An example of application of the procedure is provided with respect to a real tramway transport system, which turns out to have small world characteristics when considered as an open system inclusive of walkway connections to short-range, neighbouring stops.
