Abstract: Aiming at the characteristic of large gears, from line-group features of involute helicoid, straight generatrix is the instantaneous contact line between a pair of conjugated involute helicoid and it is the token of contact precision and reflects synthetically the total deviation of tooth profile and spiral line. In-suit integrated measurement based on rack-shaped-edge probe is put forward and the mathematic model is built. Two kinds of measuring principle and technology, varying phase-angle measurement and varying engagement angle measurement, can be obtained and mathematic models separating total deviation of tooth profile and spiral line are built.
