Does a project champion matter? An in-depth understanding of champion impact in a large-scale information system implementation

Abstract: Organisations have been facing challenges in successful implementation of advanced Information Systems (IS). Despite the important role of project champions in IS implementation success, extant research has yet reached conclusive results as to the champion impact. Through an in-depth case study on a large-scale IS implementation, the study offers insights into salient factors that might have constrained champion influence on implementation outcomes.
