Pervasive learning management system components and services for a pervasive m-learning architecture

International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation (IJMLO), Vol. 1, No. 3, 2007

Abstract: The use of mobile devices for downloading e-learning content anytime anywhere is only a small part of what m-learning is capable of. If the appropriate architecture is defined and implemented, mobile devices can become active pieces in e-learning scenarios. In this paper, a pervasive distributed architecture for m-learning is presented based on the concepts of the pervasive Learning Management System (LMS) component and the pervasive LMS service. These two concepts are also introduced and justified.
